The Northern Beaches runs on small business. Dee Why’s commercial strip is clinics, agencies, strata managers, accountants and trades offices, mostly under twenty people, in buildings with limited parking and no loading dock worth the name.
Kinsoft collects and securely destroys end-of-life hardware across Dee Why, Brookvale, Narrabeen, Collaroy, Freshwater and Manly Vale.
What makes a Dee Why collection different
Parking decides the schedule. Pittwater Road loading is tight and timed. We work early where we can and keep the truck moving rather than circling.
Strata managers hold owner records. Levy notices, bank details, owner correspondence and by-law disputes all sit on office machines that are replaced quietly every few years.
Small practices, no IT department. Nobody on site knows which machine held the old server role or where the backup drive ended up. Part of the job here is finding the equipment, not just taking it.
Salt air kills hardware early. Machines on the beaches corrode and fail sooner, which means more failed drives that need shredding rather than wiping.
Secure data destruction
Drives are wiped to DoD 5220.22-M by default, with NIST 800-88 and the Australian ISM available. SSDs use firmware-level Secure Erase. Certificates record make, model, serial, standard and verification per device. Full detail on our e-waste removal and data destruction page.
Arrange a collection
Call 02 9064 2663 or contact us online. We cover Dee Why, Brookvale, Narrabeen, Collaroy, Freshwater and Manly Vale.
We don’t know what we’ve got. Can you work it out on site?
Yes. We inventory as we go and the certificate set is built from what is actually there, not from a list you had to prepare first.
One of the old drives won’t spin up. What then?
It gets shredded and the certificate records physical destruction. A drive we cannot verify as wiped does not leave in one piece.
Do you cover the whole Northern Beaches?
Yes, from Manly through to Palm Beach. Outlying jobs are grouped into a single run, so a few days’ notice helps.
