Hornsby serves a large catchment with relatively little commercial floor space. The result is a concentrated mix: schools and colleges, medical and dental suites, accountants and solicitors above the shopping centre, and pockets of light industry out towards Asquith.
Kinsoft collects and securely destroys end-of-life hardware across Hornsby, Asquith, Waitara, Wahroonga, Thornleigh and Pennant Hills.
What makes a Hornsby collection different
School terms dictate the calendar. Computer-room refreshes happen in the holidays, and the window is fixed. We book the dates early and work to them rather than to our own schedule.
Student data carries duties. Lab machines, staff laptops and the server that ran the old student system hold records covered by education-sector privacy obligations.
Medical suites in Waitara cluster near the hospital. Practice management and imaging workstations hold clinical records, and imaging machines in particular store far more locally than practitioners expect.
Light industrial sites have workshop PCs. Older machines driving plant or stock systems, usually unnetworked and unpatched, still full of operational data.
Secure data destruction
Drives are wiped to DoD 5220.22-M by default, with NIST 800-88 and the Australian ISM available. SSDs use firmware-level Secure Erase. Certificates record make, model, serial, standard and verification per device. Full detail on our e-waste removal and data destruction page.

Can you work during the school holidays?
Yes, and we would rather. Tell us the term dates when you book and the whole job gets scheduled inside the break.
Do imaging workstations need special handling?
They need checking. Many store studies locally alongside the PACS copy, and those local caches are clinical records.
We’re a school with a WWCC requirement. Do your staff have one?
Yes. Clearances are current and we will provide them before the booking.
