Secure E-Waste Removal North Sydney | Data Destruction & Recycling

Kinsoft provides secure e-waste removal and certified data destruction for businesses in North Sydney and the surrounding North Shore area. When your servers, laptops, or desktops reach end of life, we collect them from your North Sydney premises, wipe every drive to a recognised international standard, and provide full documentation — including certificates of erasure where required.

E-Waste Collection in North Sydney

We service businesses throughout North Sydney and nearby Crows Nest, Milsons Point, Neutral Bay, St Leonards. Our process is straightforward: you tell us what needs to go, we schedule a collection at a time that suits you, and we handle everything from pickup through to destruction and recycling. No need to transport hardware yourself or coordinate multiple providers.

What We Collect

  • Servers — rack, tower, and blade
  • Laptops and notebooks
  • Desktop computers and workstations
  • Standalone hard drives and SSDs
  • Mobile devices (phones and tablets)

Certified Data Erasure

Every drive we collect is wiped using a recognised international standard. Our default is US DoD 5220.22-M — a three-pass overwrite used by the US Department of Defense, covering zeros, ones, and random characters with a final verification pass. We also support NIST 800-88, Australian ISM-6.2.93, Peter Gutmann, and 17 other standards if your organisation or regulator specifies a particular method.

For SSDs and NVMe drives, we use Secure Erase (ANSI ATA) — the firmware-level erase method designed specifically for solid-state storage, which resets all memory cells to factory state rather than relying on overwrite tools designed for spinning disks.

Certificate of Erasure

A certificate of erasure documents the make, model, serial number, erasure standard, pass count, verification result, and date of destruction for each device. Available for an additional fee per asset, certificates are essential for businesses in regulated industries — legal, medical, financial services, and government — and are increasingly requested by cyber insurers and enterprise clients as evidence of due diligence around data disposal.
