Alexandria is one of the easier parts of Sydney to collect from and one of the harder to assess. The converted warehouses here have loading access and room to work, but they also have mezzanines, storerooms and back corners holding fifteen years of accumulated equipment nobody has catalogued.
Kinsoft collects and securely destroys end-of-life hardware across Alexandria, Waterloo, Zetland, Rosebery, Mascot and Erskineville.
What makes an Alexandria collection different
Access is genuinely good. Roller doors, loading bays and on-site parking mean no dock bookings, no goods lifts and no waiting. Bulk collections are simply easier here than anywhere with a tower.
Studios have drawers full of drives. Design, video and photography businesses accumulate external drives holding client archives going back years. They are unlabelled, unencrypted, and the single highest-risk item in the building.
Warehouse systems get forgotten. Stock terminals, label printers, handheld scanners and the PC driving the despatch system all hold data and none of them look like computers.
Clear-outs happen at lease end. Warehouse leases turn over and the accumulated equipment of a decade gets dealt with in a week.
Secure data destruction
Drives are wiped to DoD 5220.22-M by default, with NIST 800-88 and the Australian ISM available. SSDs use firmware-level Secure Erase. Certificates record make, model, serial, standard and verification per device. Full detail on our e-waste removal and data destruction page.

We have a box of unlabelled external drives. Can you deal with them?
Yes, and they are usually the most important item. Unlabelled drives from a studio almost always hold client work, and nobody can say what is on them without checking.
Do handheld scanners and stock terminals need wiping?
Generally yes. They hold operational and sometimes customer data, and they are the devices most often thrown out without a thought.
We are clearing the whole warehouse at lease end. Can you take it all?
Yes. Tell us the handover date and we will stage it so the data-bearing equipment is dealt with properly rather than swept up at the end.
